These terms cover your use of Unlabbed (unlabbed.com), run by Unlabbed, based in Idaho, USA ("we"). By using Unlabbed you agree to them. Questions: corporate@thestrongautomation.com.

What Unlabbed does

Unlabbed reads a photo of a grocery package and tells you whether it lists lab-made ingredients, based on the words printed on the package and a watch list of brands with published sources. It is a shopping aid, not a guarantee. Results come from an AI reading a photo and can be wrong, labels can be incomplete, and some lab-made ingredients don't have to be labeled. A result is not a judgment about a product's safety or quality.

Unlabbed is not medical, allergy or dietary advice. Don't rely on it to manage allergies or a medical diet. Always read the full label yourself.

Free scans

Each phone gets 5 free scans in total. They don't reset each day or month. Scans and label reads both count. A photo that can't be read counts as a scan, but a check that fails on our side doesn't.

You can earn 5 more free scans for each new phone that completes its first scan from your share link, up to 5 new phones a day. A phone on the same internet connection as yours doesn't count.

To prevent abuse and control costs, we also limit free scans each day for each internet connection and across the whole app, so free scans may sometimes pause. We may change or end free scans and referral rewards at any time. Free scans have no cash value.

Unlimited subscription

• Unlimited costs $2.99 a month or $24.99 a year, plus any tax that applies.
• You pay in advance through Stripe. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel.
• Cancel any time in the app (More → Unlimited scans and billing → Manage billing or cancel). You keep access until the end of the paid period. See our refund & cancellation policy.
• We may change the price. If we do, we'll tell you by email before it applies to you, and the new price starts at your next renewal. You can cancel before then.
• "Unlimited" has a fair-use limit of 100 scans per day to prevent abuse. Normal use won't come close.

Your account

You sign in with a code sent to your email. Keep access to that email, since it's how you get into your account. You're responsible for activity under your account.

Fair use

Please don't:

• use bots or scripts to send scans, or try to get around the free scan limits or referral rules,
• copy, resell or republish the app, its results or its watch list as your own product,
• try to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service, or
• use it for anything illegal.

We may suspend free access or end accounts that break these rules. If we end a paid account for no fault of yours, we'll refund the unused part.

Brands and content

Brand names are used only to identify products. Unlabbed isn't affiliated with or endorsed by any brand, store, the FDA or the USDA. The app, its design and its watch list belong to us.

No warranty

Unlabbed is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, including that results will be accurate or the service will always be available.

Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for purchases, eating or health decisions made using the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes and law

We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we'll show it in the app or email subscribers. Using Unlabbed after a change means you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, USA.
